Remembering - Students will complete a KWL chart listing facts from the reading. Before reading, the students will write what they know about honeybees under the K section. The students will write what they want to know about honeybees under the W section. After reading, the students will write what they learned under the L section. Sample KWL chart below. Understanding - Students will explain the perfect place for honeybee's to place their bee hive.
Applying - Students will produce the life cycle of a honeybee. The life cycle will start as an egg, then a larva, then a pupa, and finally an adult. Example pictured below.
Analyzing - Students will diagram the major parts of a honeybees body. This includes the head, thorax, abdomen, legs, wings, eyes, etc. Example diagram pictured below.
Evaluating - Students will summarize the jobs for the three types of honeybees.
